Robert Half Finance & Accounting Staff Accountant in Salinas, California
Provide accounting support and monthly field reporting for specified general ledger accounts
Conduct thorough reviews of monthly revenue and expense accounts
Analyze and research financial information pertaining to statements of operations, assets, liabilities, and capital
Assist in the preparation of journal entries related to monthly General Ledger activity and adjusting journal entries
Complete assigned monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Audit and prepare reports to substantiate individual transactions
Adhere to the monthly closing calendar
Assist in the review and analysis of monthly P L activity for assigned warehouses
Implement accounting control procedures as directed
Assist Senior Accountants, Supervisors and General Ledger group as required
Other duties as requested

Requirements: Education, Training detail oriented Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Minimum 1 year related experience or equivalent combination of experience and education
Understanding of GAAP
Experience in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access and accounting software systems (SAP and fixed asset module experience preferred) Knowledge Employment Standards:
Self-starter who relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
High degree of attention to detail
Ability to perform well under pressure and in a high-volume and changing environment
