As a Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support Specialist I your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Operate and maintain security-related applications and tools
Develop procedures and documentation related to the operation and maintenance of applications and tools
Implement firewall/IDS rules as necessary
Perform analysis of network traffic and security events
Install and configure security-related applications, servers and appliances.
IBM is hiring this position to be located at our Boulder, Colorado office or Rocket Center, West Virginia (near Cumberland, MD). United States Citizenship, relocation to the Boulder or Rocket Center area, and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance are required (active clearance preferred)

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
2 years’ experience implementing, operating, and maintaining server and/or network operating systems
2 years’ experience working the Linux and Windows operating systems;
Must have or be able to obtain Sec+ or CISSP within 6 months
Ability to Obtain and Maintain a DoD Secret Clearance (active preferred)
Ability to relocate to Rocket Center, WV (near Cumberland, MD) or Boulder, CO
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
2 years experience in security engineering related to vulnerability management, intrusion prevention, data protection, monitoring, analytical, and correlation tools
Experience in managing firewalls and intrusion prevention/detection systems including the ability to demonstrate a mature understanding of networking best practices
Experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) and performing analysis of security events
Experience in security compliance related to FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST, and related security and risk management regulations
Knowledge of IBM and industry security tool suites and capabilities (e.g., Qradar, AppScan, Guardium)
BS of Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or cyber-security or equivalent
Active Secret Clearance
