Located in the heart of the Silicon Valley, we are a rapidly growing software organization that has created a robust product suite focused on cybersecurity and vulnerability management. Due to recent growth and on-boarding of new clients, we have an immediate need to hire a full-time Resident Engineer Manager to oversee a team of network security professionals supporting clients across the country. --Please note that this is a remote / work from home position that requires 30% to 50% travel to client sites.--

What You Will Be Doing

As the Resident Engineer Manager, you will be responsible for providing management oversight to your team for all ongoing client support and new engagements. You will also work closely with Sales, Professional Services, Support and Technical Account Management teams to ensure customer satisfaction, and work to build relationships with all customers in your territory to ensure customer success and reference ability.

  • Provide strategic direction and management of the technical development of all the resident engineers.

  • Manage the daily activities of the Resident Engineers such as hiring, development, time off, expense reports, development growth, training, and disciplinary actions.

  • Interface with customers who have our resident engineers engaged to ensure that the requirements and expectations are being met, feedback on how our resident engineers are performing, escalations, etc.

  • Work with Sales teams on account management activities, status and customer updates.

  • Work with Professional Services on initial deployments for re ramp-up and when providing new services or starting new projects.

  • Ensure customer engagements are successful.

  • Provide status to the Services leadership team on all major activities, issues, escalations, etc.

  • Provide strategic direction and input to the technical development of the Resident Engineering product offerings.

What You Need for this Position

  • 5+ years managing teams of 5+ technical security engineers.

  • 5+ years of building enterprise network and firewall security solutions for enterprise customers.

  • Strong technical knowledge of Network, Security, and Vulnerability Management implementations/products;

  • Experience with the following technologies: Routing, Switching, VPNs, LANs, WANs, Firewalls, Change management processes, Vulnerability Management, Vulnerability Scanners, and CMDB.

  • Demonstrated leadership and team building capabilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Security certifications such as CISSP and/or others.

  • Graduate degree (MBA or Master of Engineering) or undergraduate degree in a technical field (EE, CE, etc.) desired.

  • Willingness to travel 30% to 50% to customer sites throughout the United States.
