The Team

People Development and Culture team at Nutanix exists to create and heighten extraordinary learning experiences for Nutants, with the mission of building and nurturing the “ never-stop-learning ” culture at Nutanix.

The nature of work that this team delivers, is distinctly different from what traditional L&D function typically does elsewhere. First, we subscribe to a much broader definition of learning (much beyond training courses), which includes anything and everything Nutants do to learn, enhance their impact and be better at what they are doing. Second, our role is to increase awareness and sow more and more learning across people and cultural processes in Nutanix in innovative overt and covert ways. We work really hard to make learning fun and try to make learning easy for Nutants, who anyway have little patience or time for anything boring or irrelevant. Lastly, even though our work is “invisible, soft and abstract”, insights we seek from data deeply informs our overall strategy, key decisions and as parameters for success measurement.

The Role

Reporting to the Director, People Development and Culture, this individual contributor role will be responsible for driving strategy, design and execution of high-impact learning, development and culture initiatives across employees, managers and leaders in Nutanix. The role needs extensive experience in all aspects of learning (design and delivery at scale), ability to work in fervently changing environment and ability to demonstrate extreme creativity at work. Success in this role will involve partnering closely with leaders, HR Business Partners and COEs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the overall people development strategy with talent trends, emerging learning technologies, and advance thinking around solutions to accelerate organizational effectiveness

  • Create, manage and deliver clear and cohesive learning paths for employees, managers and leaders enabling continuous learning at all levels (includes needs analysis, program design and global delivery as needed)

  • Contribute and lead the design of innovative cutting-edge development programs and initiatives including transformation and culture initiatives

  • Co-owning key HR programs like performance management, talent review, engagement survey action planning and top talent program by contributing development perspective and subject-matter-expertise

  • Co-planning and facilitating events like manager and leadership summits, speaker series, off-site sessions, strategic planning sessions with leaders and managers

  • Partner with internal communications to disseminate information using diverse mediums like newsletters, internal websites, portals, slack etc.

  • Cultivate a strong partnership with Sr. HR Business Partners, HR Centers of Excellence, to build understanding of business needs and strategy and provide support

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Organization Development, Psychology, Human Resources, Business or a related field. A Master’s Degree in Business or a related field is desirable.

  • 10+ years of proven experience in designing and implementing learning strategies, initiatives, and programs for people managers at all levels.

  • 5+ years working in a high tech, globally matrixed organization.

  • 5+ years of successful partnership with HRBPs and Business Leaders to design & facilitate team meetings.

  • Strong command of OD principles, frameworks, tools and solutions to increase organizational and leadership effectiveness.

  • Strong knowledge and design skills in change management, organizational design, systems thinking, strategic communications, consultative skills, team dynamics, and coaching.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully influence within a complex fast-paced organization.

  • Must have strong strategic skills and the ability to move seamlessly from strategic to tactical.

  • Familiarity with employee engagement and performance management best practices & trends. Related experience a plus.
