Splunk is the leader in big data, machine learning analytics with a significant presence in the cyber security market. This position provides strategic support to the Splunk Global Security (SGS) organization that ensures Splunk’s products and internal operations meet the highest industry security standards & requirements. This role will contribute to the strategic planning of SGS including alignment to corporate priorities and the delivery of SGS programs and projects.


Strategy Development: You will support the development of a systematic long-term action plan for a global security organization to support and achieve defined business objectives

You will work with SGS leadership and their partners to handle a portfolio of programs and projects that support strategy across security services and achieves long-term business goals



Management: You have the ability to understand and anticipate the needs and requirements of SGS service consumers to ensure that program and project investments deliver business outcomes

  • You will effectively navigate conflict between different business partners

  • You will understand and influence business partners’ incentives and decision frameworks to optimize project scope and success criteria drives business results

  • You will build long-term relationships with multiple business partners to drive engagement with SGS



Development—Identify business opportunities and deliver programs and projects that delivers SGS service requirements and meets strategic business objectives and outcomes

  • You will design and handle delivery of multiple program initiatives aligned to business or service improvement opportunities

  • You will influence business partner investments in SGS service capabilities that support future enterprise objectives

  • You will represent programs aligned with the achievement of SGS objectives and ensure project investments deliver stated business value


  • You have entrepreneurial energy driving value ahead of demand

  • You are good at positioning security capabilities against business outcomes and objectives

  • You are comfortable presenting information to senior executives enabling risked based investment decisions making

  • You are able to work calmly in a dynamic, high pressure environment with executive level exposure

  • You are excellent at bringing order to chaos

  • You have 10+ years experience achieving business results by delivering projects and programs that deliver defined business results

  • You have strong critical thinking skills to handle complex problems and issues

  • You have functional knowledge of security operations and cyber security services in support of corporate business objectives

  • You have consistent ability to lead cross-functional teams that deliver solutions while mitigating or removing hurdles and obstacles

  • Bachelor's Master's Degree or equivalent work experience
